Privacy Policy

The short version.

We collect only the information you give us: your email when you subscribe, your name and event choices when you register, and anonymous browsing analytics via Google Analytics. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the internet. We do not run advertising cookies.

What we collect.

• Newsletter subscription. Your email address and (optional) first name, given voluntarily via the subscribe form.
• Event registrations. Your name, email, and any event-specific questions you answer.
• Form submissions. Anything you submit through Become a Host, Become an Ambassador, or Contact forms.
• Analytics. Google Analytics tracks anonymous page views, referrers, and general geographic region. No personally identifying information.
• Server logs. Standard web-server access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and diagnostics for up to 30 days.

What we do with it.

• Send you the newsletter you subscribed to.
• Confirm your registration and remind you about the event.
• Follow up on host, ambassador, or contact inquiries.
• Understand which parts of the site work and which don't (analytics).
• Protect the site from abuse (server logs).

What we don't do with it.

• Sell or rent your data to any third party. Ever.
• Share your data with advertisers.
• Use it for retargeting or cross-site tracking.
• Send you marketing you didn't opt into.

Third-party services we use.

• SMTP2GO for sending email. Your email address is transmitted to them when we send you a message. Their privacy policy governs their handling.
• Google Analytics for aggregate site usage. IP anonymization enabled.
• Cloudflare for site delivery and DDoS protection. They see your IP address at request time.
• Stripe (when we launch paid tickets) for payment processing. Payment card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.

Your rights.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can request that we delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies.

We use a session cookie for basic site operation. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy.

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and email subscribers before the change takes effect.
