Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

The short version.

Use the site to find networking events and groups in Charlotte. Don't abuse it, don't misrepresent yourself, and understand we don't guarantee that every listing is perfect.

What Network Charlotte is.

Network Charlotte is a curated directory of Charlotte-area networking groups and events, plus commercial services (event hosting, sponsorship, and ad packages). The site aggregates publicly-available information about third-party groups and produces original event programming, editorial content, and paid membership services.

What you agree to when you use the site.

What we can't promise.

The Groups directory is hand-curated and updated monthly, but networking groups change leaders, schedules, and venues without telling us. We do our best. If you show up to a meeting that's moved or ended, we're sorry, and please tell us so we can update.

Events on our calendar are subject to change. Third-party events (linked from our directory) are entirely the responsibility of their organizers.

Membership + paid services.

When we launch paid host slots, tickets, or sponsor packages, additional terms apply — refund windows, membership requirements, code of conduct enforcement. Those terms will be spelled out at the point of purchase and linked here when active.

Third-party links.

The directory contains hundreds of outbound links to groups, venues, and organizers we don't control. We're not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Intellectual property.

The site design, editorial content, curation, and the Network Charlotte name and mark are ours. The Groups directory is compiled by Network Charlotte with editorial contributions from Douglas H. Devanney. Group listings themselves reference publicly-available information about third-party organizations; we don't claim ownership of those organizations.

Termination.

We can suspend accounts, revoke memberships, or ban you from events for violating these terms, harassment, or bad-faith behavior toward members, hosts, sponsors, or staff. We'll usually give you a warning first, unless the behavior is severe.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by North Carolina law. Any disputes get resolved in Mecklenburg County courts.
